No, not at this time. The nursery is there for the Associations purposes, and we are presently propagating more plants to be able to expand garden areas and enhance the landscaping within the Estate.
Once the transfer of a property has taken place, new homeowners are requested to visit our HOA office for formal orientation, situated at the Clubhouse. Here you will be able to register your fingerprints on the biometric access control system. Please bring a copy of your ID with you.
By sending your name and address details together with the email address you would like the newsletter to be sent to, info@abhoa.co.za.
The only two grasses allowed to be planted on the estate are Cynoden Dactylon and Buffalo grass.
The Association does not insist that you have to remove kikuyu, but you are not under any circumstances allowed to plant this grass. This situation may change once certain conditions in this regard are finalised with the City, as in terms of the conditions of approval of the estate Kikuyu is not allowed on the estate.
We have two systems in place, and we encourage residents to make use of these.
The first method of requesting access codes, is to download our Estate App. This can be found on Google Play or the Apple store. Once registered, you will be able to click on the “request access code” button to request your code/s. You will need to be registered on the Estate access control to use this feature.
The second method is requesting codes via text message. The cost is always R2 per code request, irrespective of the number of visitors. Please also ensure you have airtime available to request a code via this method, as free SMS’s do not apply in this instance.
This is how it works:
– Save the following number on your mobile phone: 34481/ 35431
– If you are expecting one visitor, simply SMS AB 1 to this number (34481/ 35431). Within minutes you will receive a code, which will allow one visitor to enter and exit the estate on the same day. Just remember to forward this code to your visitor who will be able to enter at any gate and lane, including Beach gate.– If you are expecting more than one visitor, simply SMS AB 2 (for 2 visitors), AB 3 (for 3 visitors), and so on.
– If you are planning ahead and would like to a code for a future date, simply SMS AB (number of visitors) (day of the month). Say you would like a code for 5 visitors who will arrive on the 10th of the month, you would SMS AB 5 10.
If you are struggling, or not receiving your codes as expected, please contact Gary Lewis on 021 553 0590, during working hours Monday – Friday.
